When Jess first joined Thunder & Lightning, he wasn’t sure what to expect. He saw people lifting heavy and pushing hard, and it didn’t seem like his kind of place. He preferred lighter weights and higher reps, not barbells and max lifts. But he decided to give it a shot anyway.
Now, a few months in, Jess has found his rhythm. He’s learned new styles of training, built confidence with new movements, and discovered how much fun strength training can be when you’re surrounded by supportive people and great coaching.
He especially enjoys the smaller class sizes. They make it easier to connect with others and get real, personalized feedback from coaches who care. That combination of community and guidance has helped him get stronger, healthier, and more consistent than ever before.
Jess says his long-term goal is simple: to be a strong, active senior who can travel, play, and keep up with his grandkids for many years to come. He knows the secret to that is staying active, staying strong, and never stopping.
He’s found a routine he loves, and it’s showing in his progress, energy, and outlook.
