How this works: New trainers typically start at the hourly rate while building their book. Once you're consistently training 25+ client hours a month, you switch to a flat-rate monthly package that lowers your effective hourly cost as you grow. The more you train, the more you save.

Provide proof of current liability insurance. This protects you, your clients, and our facility.

Once you're approved, you can start booking client sessions any time between 5am and 10pm, seven days a week.

Common Questions

What hours can I use the gym?

Independent trainers can use the gym from 5am to 10pm, seven days a week. We'll share our class schedule so you can plan around it - the personal training section is always available, and the group fitness section is open to trainers when classes aren't running.

Do my clients need to be T&L members?

No. Your clients don't need a T&L membership or any other commitment to us. They simply sign a standard waiver and they can train with you. They are your clients, not ours.

Is there a contract or minimum commitment?

No long-term contract required. Hourly trainers pay as they go. Trainers on monthly packages commit month-to-month - if your client base shifts, your package can shift with it.

What do I need to qualify?

We screen all independent trainers before approval. You'll need current personal training certification and up-to-date liability insurance. Beyond that, we look for trainers who'll represent themselves professionally and treat the facility well.

Can I run small group sessions?

Yes - groups of 2 are included in your base rate, and groups of 3+ have a per-hour add-on. Sessions of 4 or more require pre-approval since they may need additional space. If you're running groups of 5+ regularly, we'll talk about whether it makes more sense as a group training arrangement (billed at 35% of gross revenue) given the space requirements.

Can I rent the whole gym for a private session or event?

Reach out and we can discuss options. Private full-gym rentals outside class hours have been arranged for special events, photo shoots, and trainer workshops in the past.

Where exactly are you located?

427 Granville St at Hastings, in downtown Vancouver's Financial District. We're steps from Waterfront Station and a short walk from Granville SkyTrain - very accessible for clients commuting from anywhere downtown. Street parking and parkades are available nearby.

Can I store my equipment or training tools at the gym?

Reach out to discuss specifics. We have storage options for trainers running consistent client volume. Bring this up during your gym tour and we'll work something out.
